It’s that time of year!  Snow is falling, bells are ringing, and government officials are requiring businesses to hang new labor and employment posters with care over the fireplace.

The State of Michigan requires that new labor and employment law posters be posted by January 31, 2017.  The changes concern the scheduled increases to the Michigan minimum wage law, known formally as the Workforce Opportunity Wage Act.  A free copy of the poster can be found here.

The federal government revised the Fair Labor Standards Act poster and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act this past August.  If you haven’t updated these postings, you will want to do so too.

As always, you should feel free to contact our law office for further information or for assistance in locating the required posters.
