Senate Confirms Trump’s NLRB Nominee

Posted: April 12, 2018

Yesterday the U.S. Senate confirmed John Ring to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), which means the agency is back under Republican control.  Employers are hopeful the Republican majority will lead to a series of long overdue pro-business rulings.

The Senate confirmed Ring by a 50-48 vote along party lines. Ring is a partner at Morgan Lewis, a managment-side firm with locations throughout the U.S. and the world.

The NLRB now has three Republicans appointed by President Donald Trump and two Democrats.  Ring will serve a five-year term.
